Final report 2023: automatica impressively demonstrates the dynamism of the industry

The world of work and society are facing massive upheaval in the coming years. The leading trade fair automatica, which took place in Munich from June 27 to 30, 2023, showed which solutions intelligent automation and robotics offer in this context. A brilliant comeback after only one year: 40,000 visitors from around 88 nations, 650 exhibitors from 34 countries and an exciting supporting program. The parallelism with LASER World of PHOTONICS and World of QUANTUM also proved to be a relevant added value for many participants.
After four days of the trade fair, the two trade fair directors Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel draw a positive conclusion: “automatica has once again demonstrated its great innovative power. With forward-looking solutions, the participating companies showed concretely how, among other things, the issue of the shortage of skilled workers can be compensated. Through the successful interaction with the parallel events LASER World of PHOTONICS and World of QUANTUM, Munich is also strengthening its position as a leading technology location."
Project manager Anja Schneider adds: “With this top result, automatica underlines its status as the leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics: great atmosphere, new players, clear topic leadership – and all this with only twelve months’ lead time.”

Smart Maintenance Pavilion

The Smart Maintenance Pavilion at automatica 2025 offers a compact mix of information, practical examples and field reports and combines the exhibition of innovative products and solutions with knowledge transfer through lectures and workshops and the practical presentation of real applications in the demo park.

It gives this important cross-sectional topic a highly visible platform and also covers other important areas related to maintenance such as energy and resource efficiency, asset management, industrial services and digital after-sales services as well as industrial IT applications.
