The company was founded in 1998 by Heiko Dietz and Andreas Wulf under the name “Die Software-Architekten”. Today, both are still actively managing customer projects as managing partners.

Iterative development enables short time-to-market times and gradual introduction of systems. In the project, an interdisciplinary team from the fields of software development, data science, tax consulting and learning psychology have come together to support trainees and workers in the tax industry in learning the demanding content. The highlight: the implementation of "intelligent tutoring", which uses artificial intelligence methods. The current learning level and behavior of the users is modeled using machine learning algorithms. Based on this analysis, the intelligent learning assistant "Smale" suggests the next lessons and steps. In this way, the individual level of competence is increased by choosing the learning approach that is both technically and didactically appropriate.
